Working always aiming for the best without compromises represents a real mission for Minotti, a Milanese brand that has launched on a path of great success in the furniture sector since the 1950s thanks to a philosophy that aims to obtain the highest quality without giving up to nothing.
Values such as craftsmanship, style, research and innovation are in fact respected within each collection, both indoors and outdoors. Symbol of Made in Italy and its excellence, Minotti has made its name known around the world above all thanks to sofas and armchairs, without however neglecting any type of furniture or accessory, including beds.
Designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27, the Brasilia series is an authentic expression of a style that has its roots in Brazilian modernism and is characterized by precision, minimalism and contemporaneity. Furthermore, the philosophy followed by Minotti is also visible in these seats, which aims to enhance the design of each piece to ensure that it can last over time, beyond its aesthetic value.
DESIGN GEOMETRIES AND MATERIALS
The Brasilia series by Minotti includes a wide range of seats ranging from the living area to the sleeping area: in particular, Brasilia Bed won the Wallpaper* Design Awards 2022 in the "Best Quiet Space" category thanks to its strong personality that derives from a Mid-Century style that is however revisited to bring the bed into modernity, a feature that unites the entire family of seats.
The interplay of lines and volumes designed by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 wink at the contemporary, as does the choice of using precious materials such as the essence of Santos rosewood stained Dark Brown color.
The mattress rests on a sommier base that can be upholstered in leather or fabric, and supported by feet made with bars filled with satin finish metal and painted in a glossy Brandy color.
The style of the entire structure, marked by a strong architectural sign, is a tribute to Brazil in the 1950s, which had leading personalities such as Oscar Niemeyer and Lùcio Costa among its main protagonists.
THE BRASILIA MODEL HEADBOARD
Brasilia Bed by Minotti appears raised off the ground and has among its most characteristic features an important equipped headboard in Santos rosewood which supports and envelops the upholstered part of the bed, including both the presence of panels and two side nightstands, available in two sizes and in two variants, shelf or with drawer.
Even the padded part of the headboard can be upholstered in fabric or leather and is further embellished with fine stitching, reconfirming the extreme attention to detail by Minotti and Marcio Kogan / studio mk27.
