You don't need huge spaces to have a quality and fully equipped kitchen. The secret lies in conceiving solutions capable of hiding, or even disappearing when necessary: it is an approach that Boffi has proposed several times with its hidden kitchens, which both aesthetically and functionally are able to compete with those that cover larger surfaces.
There are many examples and all of them have unique features, from the Hide kitchen which focuses on column mixing modules that can accommodate the entire equipment, to the On / Off model that encloses the worktop and equipment inside a container: the opening of the door thanks to a mechanism with electronic control gives access to the operational area of the kitchen, which after closing is transformed into a single monolithic block.
BOFFI KITCHENS AND STEEL AS A SIGN OF ELEGANCE AND DURABILITY
For those who, like Boffi, aim to create kitchens that satisfy the viewers from an aesthetic point of view and are able to last over time, steel represents the ideal solution, so much so that it becomes a distinctive feature of several collections.
From Hide to Xila, passing through the K series, the material is in fact used to create worktops, or as a finish in the brushed stainless steel variant. Its brightness guarantees an elegant and resistant appearance, while at the same time combining well with other materials with warmer colors, such as wood.
The highest point of this approach is represented by the Grand Chef kitchen, designed by Gigi & Pepe Tanzi and built for an apartment in a historical building in Turin, completely made of steel. The choice had the effect of enhancing and making the main design the protagonist of a consciously essential structure, characterized by steel handles and shiny fronts and topped only by a totally white hood.
THE ISLAND OF BOFFI KITCHENS: THE DISTINCTIVE ELEMENT
There are many kitchens in the Boffi catalog equipped with an island, an element designed to stand out as a distinctive feature of an environment that has become more and more central over the years, transforming itself into a place where you can spend more and more time and enjoy even long preparations, without giving up to the company of guests or family members.
For this reason, the typical island of Boffi kitchens is extremely spacious and is pleased at the passion for the culinary field that seems to have become increasingly common in recent years.
This is therefore the place to learn and experiment, as well as the point of view from which to appreciate even more the surrounding system, made up of customizable modules, hoods to shelves and storage furniture, characterized by cutting-edge mechanisms and high-quality finishes.
KITCHEN XILA DESIGN FEATURES
Xila represents a turning point in the history of Italian design due to the intuition of Luigi Massoni, who oversaw the project in 1972, to create a kitchen with handle-free front parts. The pressure opening of the base units and wall units, in addition to giving the structure a cleaner look, has in fact contributed to making it timeless.
In the columns, however, the handle is replaced by vertical spacers in shaped aluminum profile which, being on the side of the cabinet, allows it to be opened.
Among the main features of Xila there is also the one inherited from the E15 model of 1965, namely the use of the building standard based on 15 centimeters and multiples, which establishes modularity in the kitchen abacus.
Over the years, the kitchen has been enriched with new materials of the latest generation and a wide range of finishes for tops, panels and fronts.
