Boiseries and walk-in closets, two solutions of luxury in interior design

Shaping custom homes is the idea on which Sag’80 bases its philosophy, offering a vast range of products born from the minds of the best contemporary designers and the craftsmanship and industrial mastery of leading companies in the field.

Attention to detail is what pushes the boundaries of design toward the desirable idea of authenticity. Customized design, that of custom projects, is what makes any environment coherent, elegant, and comfortable, because only when the design is rooted in the cohesive combination of shapes, colors, textures, and proportions does it always feel right and greatly enhances an experience in which all the senses are gratified.

In this case we want to talk about two pieces of furniture that immediately convey anidea of luxury, comfort and beauty.

Wood paneling is a modern solution for furnishing the home with extreme taste and sophistication.

This is a decorative style that originated in France between the 17th and 18th centuries to embellish the interiors of aristocratic homes with the help of decorated or inlaid panels, or alternatively characterized by a simple, linear form.

The walk-in closet, on the other hand, is a real object of desire, a complete and versatile solution to any home organization problem, and can become a real room dedicated to beauty and self-care.

Boiserie

Today, as in the past, paneling represents a true decorative technique of covering the wall with a wide variety of materials, shapes and colors. The possibilities are endless, making this type of furniture suitable for every style: from contemporary to more classic.

The Elegant Boiserie system, designed by Giuseppe Iasparra for Longhi S.p.A., features a multitude of modularities that allow the room to be furnished with elegant finishes and cover the walls of both the living and sleeping areas. The panel finishes are leather, the end profiles are metal, and the distinguishing feature is the central compartment that runs linearly along the length of the wall and is embellished with diffused LED lighted inserts.

When the taste tends toward a more radical materiality, then one can opt for the peculiar metamorphic capabilities of metal, capable of incorporating its own stylistic signature into even the simplest monochromatic surfaces. De Castelli‘s Scomposta and Boiserie wall coverings boast extreme flexibility in compositional solutions and offer an answer to the search for out-of-the-box expressive quality. Consisting of panels of different sizes, the two systems are fully customizable. In the case of Scomposta, each panel is mounted on wall racks, while for Boiserie, wood panels covered with De Castelli materials can be installed.

From the same manufacturer is 3D Wall, an effective wall cladding system that is absolutely customizable, featuring square-shaped modules that are sectioned diagonally and are attached via magnets to a special sheet anchored to the wall. The bold graphic sign and sculptural appearance are accentuated by the different depths of the sides, along with the possibility of customizing individual modules in different finishes.

While decorative purpose is undoubtedly the first requirement of those who decide to install paneling in their spaces, contemporary paneling can prove surprisingly useful by concealing the most important storage space in the entire house. With three different cabinet structure concepts, Storage a modular system that ensures continuity of space throughout the cabinet. A fusion of the walk-in closet and open closet typology, the Storage Boiserie designed by Piero Lissoni for
Porro
features modular wall panels on which to hang various equipment, offering a more complete solution than the walk-in closet but visually lighter than the open closet, with the effect of a continuous surface without any kind of frontal interruption. A real paneling within which the concept of space acquires a new value.

Walk-in Closet

Clothes, accessories and shoes-any personal item can find its rightful place in a walk-in closet as there is a wealth of shelving, storage and modular furniture available. There are many options available to suit any style and decorating needs. Also, it is not necessary to consecrate an entire room to her. A modern walk-in closet can occupy a single portion of a room and also be located outside the sleeping area, in an otherwise little-used room. Whether horizontal or angular, with traditional or sliding doors, there are tailor-made solutions for creating a luxurious corner in any type of home.

Refined, linear style characterizes Vincent Van Duysen’s Gliss Master collection for
Molteni
: a system of closets and walk-in closets that offers linear and angular solutions in which precious materials beautifully enhance timeless forms. The doors are made of clear glass or fine wood, also lacquered. Peculiarity of the collection is the presence of suspended drawers, also available with faux leather fronts.
