The success of the Porada furniture brand has its foundations in their 70-year long passion for wood production, which began in 1948 with Luigi Allievi’s construction of wooden chairs in Cabiate (Como). Allievi’s company then expanded and in 1968 Porada was founded.

The avant garde design of the table is composed of a tempered glass table top that is supported by a black walnut base. The intricate and artistic shape of the base is formed by two softly intertwined lines that lean on a circular metal plate with a chrome-plated finish.
Another great product from the Porada table collection is the Elika table, designed by Gino Carollo. The modern look of this table is given by the unusual spiral shape of the base, which is mounted on a sheet of technopolymer material. A prime example is given by the fact that the Allievi family, instead of turning to any well-known designer, decided to carefully select a team of creatives and form a group of designers that could re-interpret the leitmotiv of the company from a new point of view. This approach has transformed Porada into an everlasting design brand.

For those who prefer a retro design, Porada offers the Allison sofa: a two-seat sofa designed by Andrea Borgogni for traditionally classic interiors.
