At Fuorisalone 2022, SAG'80 tells its story through contemporary art. In the spaces of Via Boccaccio 4 and Via Boccaccio 11 he presents "Modulari", unpublished site-specific canvases by Rae Martini designed for the two refined showrooms symbolically united by the works of the Milanese artist.

SAG'80, the historic Milanese design showroom that has always stood out for its tailor-made consulting service, announces its collaboration with Rae Martini for the Fuorisalone. Through unpublished works of contemporary art, SAG'80 tells its soul that is expressed through two distinct identities, the stores, Via Boccaccio 4 and Boccaccio 11.

In a continuous exhibition, the works of Rae Martini will accompany the visitor to discover the world of SAG'80 from the showroom in Via Boccaccio 4, a showroom with a display character where, together with these artistic creations, the latest Arflex novelties stand out that SAG'80 distributes exclusively in Milan. Continued in Via Boccaccio 11, a showroom conceived as an apartment where the protagonists are the Arclinea and Maxalto collections.

Design and art as creative expressions similar to the attitude of SAG'80 consultancy.

In addition to the careful selection of furnishings and accessories, icons of contemporary design of the reference brands of Made in Italy and beyond, the strength of SAG'80 consists precisely in the ability to support the private or professional clients, such as architects and interiors designer, through a 360° tailor-made consulting service to design domestic spaces and more, always unique and customized to your own need.

Constantly in search of new trends and with the desire to offer unprecedented experiences to its clients and stakeholders, SAG'80 would like to give space to Rae Martini's contemporary, disruptive, varied style. An internationally active Milanese artist, Martini analyzes and researches physical and aesthetic interactions between different media through his works, giving life to décollage-painting, (de) layered works resulting from an elaborate creative process matured through three decades of experience in use. combination of materials, paper, enamel, tar, cement and solvent.

“For Fuorisalone 2022, the special edition that after two years brings Milan back to the center of the international design and creativity scene, we have chosen to explore the link between design and contemporary art. Creative expressions that are ever closer and more interconnected that allow us to tell our way of being and the approach to tailor-made consulting and design of the living space that has always distinguished us. Our stores in Via Boccaccio 4 and 11, distinctive in character but at the same time an expression of the SAG'80 style, are transformed into an art gallery where unpublished paintings by Rae Martini will dialogue with our furniture proposals, offering customers and enthusiasts of art and design a coherent exhibition path between the two shops: Via Boccaccio 4 dedicated to the latest novelties from Arflex and Via Boccaccio 11 to the story of the proposals by Maxalto and Arclinea, the latter set inside an apartment conceived as a true home.”

Roberto Pellegatta, owner and founder of SAG'80

"I Modulari are lived-in works, which have survived the inescapable passage of time, a crucial element of their being that show how the contrast between the intact white modules and those strongly marked by flaming, can be harmonious, almost hypnotic. Black and white is the chromatic scale of these new works conceived for the spaces of SAG'80 on the occasion of FuoriSalone 2022. Inside the two showrooms, together with iconic pieces of Italian and international design, these works give life to a refined rhythm aesthetic that sees the viewer at the center who savors the encounter between design and contemporary art."
