CHRISTMAS 2020, SAG’80 MEETS CONTEMPORARY ART WITH DANIELE PAPULI<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For this Christmas, Sag’80 decided to focus on the exclusivity  of Daniele Papuli<\/strong>‘s works, and let its customers enjoy a very special experience of warm, cozy colors and extraordinary objects. 
\n <\/p>\n

Unique pieces with a very strong visual impact that give a magical atmosphere to Christmas.
\n <\/p>\n

And it does so with Sottosopra, an exclusive series of handmade, paper vases,  for a Christmas yet to be built. For the first time, his works will be housed within the spaces of Sag’80.
\n <\/p>\n

Daniele Papuli<\/strong> is an artist, a sculptor of matter, space and place. 
\nFollowing his 20-year association with Dilmos<\/strong>, his works arrive in Sag’80, considered by the historic gallery, Milan’s landmark contemporary store. 
\n <\/p>\n

And this is where this triple collaboration, strongly desired by Dilmos<\/strong>, comes from, with the aim of bringing contemporary art and luxury furniture closer together and in dialogue, enhancing the value of artistic intuition that becomes a unique and unrepeatable creation.
\n <\/p>\n

Papuli’s encounter with paper dates back to 1995 and is a revelation of the lightness of form, the ductility and modularity of the material when compared with stone, plaster or wood. It is the suggestion that starts from the sheet of paper, two-dimensional, and thanks to a work of cutting, composition and decomposition of volumes between plays of color, creates new forms. It is the highest task of matter, that of taking form into itself to make it become content. 
\n <\/p>\n

And the vase series stands as a testimony to precisely that: the incredibility of paper takes on new meanings, through visions and colors. As in Underside<\/strong>, where the grammar of the vase is rewritten in the new relationship it creates with the space in which it is placed. A relationship that also involves sensory experience by triggering new sensations when the hand touches these works of art because paper is a living material, capable of generating new and ever-changing scenarios depending on how it is structured and processed. 
\n <\/p>\n

It is a story written and directed by the artist.
\nA story that enters the home to embellish rooms with a living, breathing feeling.
\nLike a sheet of paper.<\/p>\n
