A perfect mix of styles, from liberty to contemporary, defines the new total-look project by SAG'80 for a residence with a sophisticated style corresponding to the needs of young owners.

Strong colors, unique pieces and natural wood warm up the whole for the Milanese apartment of a young couple who play with an intense mix of eras and styles. A new refined turnkey interior design and architecture project in collaboration with Dome Milano Studio.

On the third floor of an elegant Art Nouveau building, the house which develops on one level with an area of about 100 square meters has been completely redesigned, distorting the original layout of a classical imprint with the long corridor uniting the different rooms. Today the apartment with a sophisticated vintage soul plays on the open spaces of the large living room which includes the dining area and kitchen, which occupies a large part of the surface of the house. In the sleeping area, the master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a large double shower; a second guest bedroom, designed for a future child and the second bathroom with bathtub.

The absolute protagonist of the scene is the large fresco characterized by strong colors, orange, blue, green that guided the interior design and the definition of the intense color palette. Original Art Nouveau element, discovered during the renovation and brought back to life thanks to the collaboration with Pictalab.

The design furniture

The INDada kitchen by Dada, a suspended model, is characterized by the linear cooking area with brick-colored matt lacquered columns and the large island, under the fresco, in black lacquer with worktop and sink area integrated into the snack top. The latter chooses the gray oak finish like the parquet, with laying in squares and a natural treatment that unites all the rooms in the house.

The Zig Zag chair designed in 1934 by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld for Cassina is iconic, while the large suspension light is Palma of Vibia. On the wall, the 10° shelves by Ron Gilad for Molteni create a refined play of perspectives thanks to the diamond-shaped perimeter that penetrates the wall. Above there are vases by Daniele Papuli for Dilmos.

To emphasize the eclectic taste of the project contributes the Michelangelo hand-painted wooden container by Dilmos Edizioni depicting a detail of the Sibyl, frescoed in the Sistine Chapel in Rome by Michelangelo.

The living room features the Strip sofa designed by Cini Boeri for Arflex and the Bistrot armchairs by Vico Magistretti for DePadova, pieces with a vintage soul that integrate well into the project.

To complete the Mabel coffee table by Akomena for Dilmos and the vintage carpet, a unique piece in shades of green. Opposite, again intense blue for the Modern suspended container by Porro which becomes a support for the red vase by Papuli and the La Rotonda light designed by Adrian Cruz, all Dilmos.

Above, Zero83 mirror frames by Cassina and two ethnic sculptures, a reminder of an African trip by the owners. Between design and art, the floor-to-ceiling light in modernist style is Mamì by Umberto Asnago for Pentalight.

Another feature of the space is the large graphic painting in the colors inspired by the fresco which, resting on the shelf, conceals the television.

Behind the sofa, the built-in wardrobes are customized by Sag'80 like the console in the niche, a small but functional home office area characterized by the trompe l'oeil effect of the Ex Libris wallpaper by Cole&Sohn with the Sufflì pouf by Dilmos, part of the 'Mobili all'Aria collection by Bertozzi & Dal Monte Casoni, in hypergres ceramic with crystallized glazes, also suitable for outdoor use.

The hand-knotted carpet with wool, banana silk and bamboo silk Cangaco by Estudio Campana is spectacular, a limited edition of only five pieces.

The sleeping area, connected to the living room by an anteroom where two ethnic-style works by Mutaforma stand out on the wall, opens onto the master bedroom which stands out for the Art Nouveau Riviera wallpaper by Cole&Son; the custom bed by Sag'80 is combined with the Gong bedside tables by Meridiani and the wall lamps by b.lux

In the bathroom, characterized by the large double shower, to underline the vintage spirit, the cladding is in Mipa tiles while the sink, sanitary fixtures and mirror with container are by Ceramica Cielo.

The gray oak parquet is laid in slats.

The choice of furnishings in the single room is refined with the Compas Direction desk and the armchair

Fauteuil Direction, pieces designed in the 50s by Jean Prouvé for Vitra.

Vintage character also for the recycled wall lamps and deco wallpaper.

The fabric sofa is a custom piece by Sag'80.

The second bathroom plays on the effect of the black cladding washbasin again by Mipa marmi, bathroom fixtures also by Cielo, ceramic tub built into the structure which incorporates the tile covering.
