The design of Mies van der Rohe has changed the story of the project, an example for everyone is the Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chair.

Not a name like many others, that of Mies van der Rohe is in the top ten of the most well-known in design sector and this is not surprising considering the contribution to the world from the projects during his years in the design industry.

German architect and designer, Mies van der Rohe is with Le Corbusier, Grophius and Wright among the most visible members of the Modern Movement.

The famous Barcelona chair by Mies van der Rohe is just one example of how his projects have entered the common imagination and how they influenced until today the design world at every scale.

The contemporary aesthetics come much from him, among the most famous architectural works is definitely the Barcelona Pavilion, built for the Universal Exhibition of 1929, a symbol of the ability to innovate and renew.  Precisely on this occasion, the German designer and architect introduces concepts such as free plant and fluid spaces, but it is not enough because it is always for this pavilion that Mies van der Rohe designed the Barcelona chair.

This chair is an icon, still part of Knoll's production, and embodies the design vision of Mies van der Rohe, made of elegance and based on his famous motto "less is More”.
